Welcome to the Bodrwnsiwn Veterinary Practice

We are a mixed veterinary practice, treating all small animals, farm animals and Horses. With branches in Mona, Holyhead, Menai Bridge, Amlwch and Bangor, we provide veterinary cover for Anglesey, Gwynedd and Conwy.

Our aim is to provide the best possible healthcare in a friendly and supportive environment. We have an experienced, enthusiastic team of vets, veterinary nurses and support staff, many of whom have specialist skills and knowledge in areas of animal health. As part of our commitment to giving the best healthcare, we run our own 24 hour a day 365 days a year emergency service, where you will see our regular team of vets and nurses.

We look forward to welcoming you and your animals to our practice.

The practice has been awarded Practice Standards by RCVS. The team at Bodrwnsiwn are very pleased.

The RCVS Practice Standards Scheme (PSS) is a voluntary initiative to accredit veterinary practices in the UK. Through setting standards and carrying out regular assessments, the Scheme aims to promote and maintain the highest standards of veterinary care.

Latest News

COVID 19 We realise this is a worrying time for all our clients, and we ask that you help us to reduce the risk to our visitors and the practice so that we can continue to care for your pets.

If you or anyone in your immediate family/household are unwell or showing symptoms that could be attributable to the Coronavirus, we respectfully ask you not to visit the practice at the moment. If your pet requires urgent assistance please call us, so we can discuss the best option to take care of them.

Please make sure you use the hand sanitisers available when you visit the practice. Frequent hand washing is one of the most effective measures we can all take to protect ourselves and each other.

As you are all aware we can get pretty busy at times. In order to reduce any overcrowding please only allow your pet to bring one owner along to their appointment!

To minimise risk we advise that you let us know you have arrived for your appointment, wait in the car and we will call you in once the vet is ready. This will help reduce numbers sat in a small waiting area.

If you are collecting products from the surgery, again please do not enter, wait outside and ring the surgery. If possible please ring before and we can get your requirements ready.

We would like to avoid cash payments wherever possible so please bring your bank card for payment.

It is possible we may be able to help your pet without you bringing them in for an appointment. If you are unsure whether a visit is necessary please call us to discuss. Video, facetime may be used to consult.

Please allow 48 hours for repeat prescriptions, this is due to our deliveries been scaled down to every other day. We are able to post some drugs out. In the next coming week, we come to offer a delivery service but this will depend on how Covid 19 affects our team.

As the current situation is rapidly changing, we will keep you updated with any changes as they occur. The team thanks you for your help in this matter and hope we all keep well.

Stay safe and if you need any help or advice, please ring.

Equine Visits How to ensure that you and your vet are safe if your horse needs vet attention:

Please ensure that if you are self isolating or have been in recent contact with someone who has confirmed or suspected Covid-19 infection that you notify the veterinary practice, before the vet arrives

Please enforce social distancing (stay 2.5m apart) at all times. Your vet may have to sedate your horse to allow you to stand further back from the horse

No other people should be in attendance (other than the person holding the horse) when your vet visits

Whenever safe to do so, it is preferable that your vet examines the horse outside rather than inside

Speak to your vet about whether a visit is needed or whether a phone call could be used instead

FARM VISITS From now our farm vets will be working from home or their vans. Please ring Mona to book visits and order drugs you need to collect. They will be collected from outside the building.

As of Monday entering the surgeries will be limited. On arrival please ring the surgery number and we will deal with your enquiry from there. To protect you and us, please do not enter.

A delivery service will be starting next week, more details to follow.

Extreme measures need to be taken and the team at Bod vets hope you will work with us to get through the difficult time ahead.

If anyone has questions please ring any of the farm team or myself.

Thank you for your continued support.
