John Matthews
          Veterinary Surgeon

Qualifications: BVSc. MRCVS. LVI. OV.

John is a partner with the Bodrwnsiwn Group. After qualifying in 1978 he worked in practice for 5 years in Llandysul and following this he did worldwide locum work for 1 year. John became a partner with the group in 1985 and has helped to develop the practice. When not out on farm visits John can often be seen at our Menai Bridge surgery

 

Meurig Evans
          Veterinary Surgeon

Qualifications: B.Vet.Med. MRCVS. LVI. OV.

Meurig is a partner with the Bodrwnsiwn Group and has worked in mixed practice for over 25 years. He has a particular interest in Cattle reproduction and sheep medicine.

 


Jane Moules-Jones 
            Veterinary Surgeon


Qualifications: BVM&S. MRCVS. LVI. OV

Jane is a partner with the Bodrwnsiwn Group and has a particular interest in feline medicine. Her spare time interests include gardening and skiing

 


John Griffiths

John is a partner with the Bodrwnsiwn Group and has been with us since he qualified in 2000. His main interest is in farm animal medicine and herd health planning, in particular cattle work.

 


Aled Roberts 
        Veterinary Surgeon


Qualifications: BVM&S. MRCVS. LVI

Aled is a partner with the Bodrwnsiwn Group and has a particular interest in large and small animal surgery/ orthopaedics.

 


Rhona Lampard 
          Veterinary surgeon


Qualifications: BVM&S. MRCVS. LVI. OV.

Rhona is a partner at the Bodrwnsiwn Group and has worked in general veterinary practice for over 25 years. Originally from Scotland and a graduate of Glasgow Vet School she move to Wales to spend a summer climbing and 20 years later is still here! Rhona is mainly based at our Bangor site. Her main interest is in small animal medicine and surgery and horse work but also enjoys the variety offered in mixed practice. In her spare time she enjoys walking, climbing and horse riding.

Dewi Williams 
            Veterinary Surgeon/Head of the Equine Team


Qualifications: B.Vet.Med. MRCVS. LVI.


Areas of Interest: Dewi is intrested in all aspects of Equine Veterinary work especially mare fertility, equine dentistry and lameness. He is based at our Bangor site but spends most of his time out and about on visits.

 


Evelyn Heffernan
          Veterinary Surgeon


Qualifications: MVB. MRCVS. LVI.

Evelyn is based at the Menai Bridge surgery but can often be seen at our Amlwch Surgery. She has worked for the Bodrwnsiwn Group since 2001 and has a particular interest in small animal medicine.

 


Mike Adamson
      Veterinary Surgeon

Qualifications: BVSc. MRCVS. LVI.

Mike has worked with the Bodrwnsiwn group since 1998 and can often be seen at our Holyhead surgery. He has a special interest in avian medicine and small animal orthopaedics

 

Claire Mellor
      Veterinary Surgeon

Qualifications: BVSc. MRCVS. LVI.

Claire is based at our Mona surgery and is particularly interested in Feline and exotic medicine

 

Kathryn Woodward 
         Veterinary Surgeon

Qualifications: BVSc. MRCVS. LVI.

Kathryn joined the Bodrwnsiwn Veterinary Group in 2009 and is based at our Mona Surgery. Her main interests are in sheep medicine and she has a small flock of her own

 Shelly Cook
         Veterinary Surgeon

Qualifications: BSc Agriculture (Hons), BVM&S MRCVS, LVI

Shelley is originally from County Down in Northern Ireland.  She originally did an Agricultural degree in Edinburgh before working in the poultry industry as a Farm advisor and in the racing industry with Flat racing Stallions, Broodmares and Weanlings before heading back to university to study Veterinary Medicine.  Her main interests are Equine neonatal care, Equine Medicine and performance issues in horses, but she enjoys all aspects of mixed practice.  She can be found both at the Mona Surgery and the Bangor Surgery usually with her springer Eithin in tow.

Qualifications: BA (hons) Equine Business Management

Joined the team in 2009 to assist with the equine side of the Practice, Her main role is organising the Equine visits from our Bangor Surgery. Her hobbies are looking after and competing her performance ponies and socialising with friends and family.

Adele Dawson
        Kennel Manager


Areas of Interest: Adele runs the Boarding Kennels and Cattery at our Bangor site. Adele's main interests are canine welfare and behaviour and in her spare time she enjoys horse riding, skiing and cycling.

 

Rhian Owen
           Veterinary Receptionist/ TB Testing manager

Rhian is based at our Mona surgery and has worked for the Bodrwnsiwn group since 1994. In her spare time she enjoys walking and caring for her horses

Della Jones-Hughes

Areas of Interest: Della has worked for the Bodrwnsiwn group since 1987 and is based at our Menai Bridge surgery. She has a special interest in animal nutrition and enjoys walking, horse riding and reading

Leanne Henderson
     Registered  Veterinary Nurse


Qualifications: RVN

Leanne qualified in 1996 and has been with us since August 2011,she is mainly based at our Mona surgery.Leanne enjoys lab work and radiography. She runs the weight clinics and advises on Dental Hygiene for the small animals. Outside of work Leanne likes Motorbikes, walking and photography.

 

Carol Livett
     Registered  Veterinary Nurse


Qualifications: RVN

Carol joined the team, mainly working in our Bangor surgery in August 2011. Carol qualified in 1989 as a veterinary nurse and has over 20 years experience. Outside of work Carol and her family are into athletics and she spends her spare time travelling to competitions across the UK.

 

Kirsty Wright 
          Veterinary Receptionist/ Nursing Assistant

Areas of Interest: Kirsty has worked for Bodrwnsiwn since 2006 and is based at our Menai Bridge site. She is currently studying for her Animal Nursing Assistant qualification and hopes to progress on to the Veterinary Nursing Course. In her spare time Kirsty enjoy art, travel and walking with her dogs.
Sue Lloyd 
       Veterinary Receptionist/ Nursing Assistant


Areas of Interest: Sue has worked at the Bodrwnsiwn Menai Bridge surgery since 1995. In her spare time Sue enjoys walking and reading.

Sandra Sawicz
        Accounts Manager


Sandra is based at our Mona and has worked for the Bodrwnsiwn group since 2003. Her hobbies include knitting, baking and gardening

 

Iona Parry
      Administrative Assistant

Iona is based at our Mona surgery and has worked for the Bodrwnsiwn group since 2005. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and socialising (she is Bryn Fon's biggest fan.)

 

Margaret Hughes
      Veterinary receptionist/Pharmacy Co-ordinator

Qualifications: B.pharm

Margaret is based at our Mona surgery and re joined the Bodrwnsiwn group in 2010. She is a keen horse woman and also has extensive experience of livestock farming.

 

Nia Jones
     Veterinary receptionist/ TB Testing administrator

Nia has worked for the Bodrwnsiwn group since 2005, she is based at the Mona site and enjoys camping.

 

Katie Menear
         Veterinary receptionist/ Visit co-ordinator


Qualifications:BSc(hons) Animal Science & P.H.C (
pet health counsellor)

Katie is base at our Mona site and has many duties including; organising large animal visits, taking large animal pharmaceutical orders and NMR co-ordination. In her own words Katie has a very busy life! Her hobbies and interests include; going on holiday, talking to and meeting new people, caring for, riding and training her horses.....and gardening - as its relaxing!

Ceri Morris
          Veterinary Receptionist/ Nursing Assistant


Areas of Interest: Ceri has worked at the Bodrwnsiwn Group Bangor site since 2007 and was involved in the launch of our Bangor branch. Her main intrests are Animal Care and Veterinary Nursing. She is currently studying for her Animal Nursing Assistant qualification and hopes to progress on to the Veterinary Nursing Course. In her spare time Ceri enjoys socialising.

Ruth Dalley
          Animal Nursing Assistant/Receptionist

Qualifications: BSc Zoology


Ruth Joined the practice in Jan 2011 and mainly works in our Mona surgery on Reception,she is also holiday and sick cover for our surgeries, so can often be found in different places.  

Ruth lives on sheep and cattle farm with 5 dogs, she likes agriculture, motorbikes, photography, Morris dancing and kayaking.

Sian Jones
          Animal Nursing Assistant/Receptionist

Sian Joined the team in Jan 2011,she is mainly based at our Menai Bridge surgery but can be found covering in all our surgeries. In her spare time Sian likes socialising with her friends and family plus looking after and riding her horse.

Angela Tower
     Veterinary Receptionist/ Nursing Assistant/ Kennel Relief assistant


Areas of Interest: Angela has worked for Bodrwnsiwn since 2007, and is based at our Bangor site. Her main intrests are animal care and husbandry and in her spare time she enjoys horse riding, golf and fishing.

 

Sam Williams 
         Veterinary receptionist/Nursing assistant

Sam has worked at Bodrwnsiwn Mona surgery since 2007 and her main interests are for the care and nursing of companion animals. Sam is also studying for her Animal Nursing Assistant qualification and hopes to progress on to the Veterinary Nursing course. Her hobbies and interests include walking and socialising.

 

Dilys Roberts
     Veterinary receptionist

Dilys has worked for Bodrwnsiwn since 2006 after having moved to Anglesey from the Mold area. Her interests include horses, particularly her Welsh Cobs which she shows in hand. In her spare time Dilys enjoys socialising with friends.

 

Jan Owen
        Veterinary Receptionist/ Nursing Assistant


Areas of Interest: Jan is based at our Amlwch surgery and has worked for the Bodrwnsiwn group since 1998. In her spare time she breeds and shows Welsh mountain ponies.

Iola Owen-Griffiths 
          Veterinary receptionist/Nursing assistant


Areas of Interest: lola has worked for Bodrwnsiwn group since 1994 and is now based at our Holyhead surgery

Jannette Macwhinnie
       Veterinary Receptionist

Qualifications: Bhs. A.I

Jeanette is based at our Mona surgery and provides cover for all our branch surgeries when needed. In her spare time, her hobbies and interests include breeding and showing her Welsh horses/ponies, fostering rescue dogs and caring for orphan lambs.

 

Jill Melling 
            Professional Dog Groomer


Areas of Interest: Jill works in our Dog Grooming parlour at the Bangor site, she has been grooming dogs for many years. Her interests include going to the theatre and walking her dogs.
